


160 years of Cuban baseball: another round trip between Cuba and the United States
An event at Cuba’s National Library commemorated the arrival of baseball on the island. Attendees included Leonardo Padura, Norberto Codina, and other prominent figures.

Alejandro Oms, a Cuban baseball legend, will have a plaque in his hometown of Santa Clara.
It will be placed in the Augusto César Sandino Stadium. Oms shone in the first half of the last century in various professional leagues. He was known as “The Gentleman” for his behavior on and off the field.
